Why did you choose Ohio State University for your graduate studies?

I was sold on the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University after my visit to campus. The amazing facilities, small class sizes and dynamic faculty were all very appealing. The experience here is extremely rewarding and I am certain that my MBA will make me very competitive.

What do you like about your graduate program at Ohio State?

In addition to the small class size and personal relationship with the faculty, students and staff, I like that I will have a competitive education without being in a cut-throat, competitive environment. Everyone at Fisher collectively participates in learning and supports one another so that everyone will leave with a solid understanding of the material and be successful regardless of their post-graduate aspirations.

Any comment on the Research facilities, teaching, and opportunities at Ohio State?

As president of the MBA Council I have been exposed to every aspect of life in the Fisher College of Business. The College is very committed to listening to the needs of students and then working diligently to ensure that those needs are met. They are constantly exploring ways to enrich the offerings at FCOB and to increase opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

What do you like about Columbus?

Columbus is a very dynamic city that is constantly growing. There are exciting opportunities in virtually every arena. Through our executive lunch programs, students are given the opportunity to informally network with some of the most prominent business people in Columbus. Students can then leverage these relationships not only for professional reasons, but also as an avenue to get involved within the Columbus community.

What has been your experience in obtaining financial aid?

I have been very fortunate in my financial aid experience. I have been awarded Graduate Assistantship positions that have covered my tuition and provided a monthly stipend. However, the extra bonus is that these positions are actually places that enhance my MBA experience so it feels like I'm doing more learning than I am working!

Why did you choose Ohio State University for your graduate studies?

I wanted to find the best school in Ohio, and OSU fit all the criteria. Their business program is nationally ranked, they have a tradition of academic and athletic excellence, and despite its large size, I felt like there was a sense of community.

.............................................................................................................

What do you like about your graduate program at Ohio State?

The Fisher College of Business is an excellent program. I like the fact that it is small enough that I know all of the students and most of the faculty. The school provides many opportunities for the students to take advantage of, and the faculty and staff seem to really support each student's individual needs and aspirations. I also enjoy the wide range of classes that we can take, which greatly broadens my exposure to the business world.

Any comment on the Research facilities, teaching, and opportunities at Ohio State?

The facitlies at Fisher are excellent. I enjoy the modern amenities of the new campus, and I appreciate the fact that the school is continuously working to improve the student's access to technology and other tools that aid in our studies. There are many outstanding professors at Fisher, and I like the fact that the administration is willing to listen to the students when there is a problem with a professor. The opportunities for students to get active and stay involved are nearly endless. Everyone can find something that they are interested in here at Fisher.

.............................................................................................................

What do you like about Columbus?

I lived in Columbus for a year prior to going to school, so I am fairly familiar with the area. I like the fact that there is plenty to do, and it is big enough keep from getting bored. There is a midwestern sense of values and morals which is also a benefit.

.............................................................................................................

What has been your experience in obtaining financial aid?

I did not apply for financial aid, but was able to get all of the student loans for which I applied.

Why did you choose Ohio State University for your graduate studies?

I chose Ohio State for my graduate studies because the MBA program here is small compared to others and it is also highly ranked in its field. In addition, the business chair of my undergraduate institution Bethune-Cookman College is an alumnus of The Fisher College of Business and encourages students to explore the school as an option for graduate studies. During my senior year I researched what the program had to offer and decided it was a good fit for me.

.............................................................................................................

What do you like about your graduate program at Ohio State?

I like that my program is small and is very much like a family. The professors are very accessible and willing to offer assistance to students when needed. There are also many activities and events offered at Fisher that allow students to maintain a balance between schoolwork, professional development, and fun. Each of these allows us to maximize our time in the program.

.............................................................................................................

Any comment on the Research facilities, teaching, and opportunities at Ohio State?

Many of the professors at Fisher conduct research independently or as a part of the several research centers that the college of business has. There are many opportunities for students to take part in this research.

.............................................................................................................

What do you like about Columbus?

I like the small town feel of Columbus. I grew up in a small town and Columbus reminds me of it in many ways. Columbus also has great shopping!

.............................................................................................................

What has been your experience in obtaining financial aid?

I received a university fellowship upon coming to Ohio State. I have not had any problems applying for or obtaining the financial aid needed to finance my graduate education.
