Finding Work On and Off-Campus
Notices of on-campus and off-campus employment opportunities of interest to students and spouses are posted on the Student Employment Job Board on the third floor of Lincoln Tower. You will also find job positions on the Student Financial Aid Web page. In addition to departmental graduate associate positions, job opportunities on campus may include part-time work in restaurants, administrative offices, or in other graduate departments. Placement information for spouses interested in full-time or part-time Civil Service or administrative and professional positions on campus may be obtained from:

Work Restrictions for International Students
Regulations of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) allow most international students to work on-campus, but not off-campus. Also, except for the graduate associate or fellowship award, you cannot use potential employment at Ohio State as evidence of your ability to support yourself when applying for a visa. Holders of F-1 and J-1 visas may not work more than 20 hours per week while school is in session, and must maintain a full course load. The Office of International Affairs will provide more details on work restrictions as well as opportunities.
